Long Time Big Show Buddy 'Click' Baldwin Dies

We're still reeling over the loss of one of our oldest friends, Click Baldwin.

He died Tuesday, July 29 from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle crash in Montana. Click struck a car as it was turning and was thrown off his 2009 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He hit the pavement and the signpost of a reduce speed ahead sign on the highway and was flown to Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula, Montana with serious injuries. He died around 9:30 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. Fortunately, the passengers of the car he struck only sustained minor injuries.

Click and his family owned Carolina Harley-Davidson Buell in Gastonia, NC. He had just completing the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America, and was riding through Montana with 14 other members of the Hamsters Motorcycle Club when the accident occurred. The group was meeting other members for the 68th annual Sturgis Rally in Sturgis, S.D., an event that draws hundreds of thousands of motorcyclists.

Billy probably put it best on Thursday's show when we were talking about Click; "He would have made a great cowboy," But, if we were asked to describe Click with a single word, it would have to be "generous."

There was a terrific feature article about him in his hometown newspaper, The Gaston Gazette. Click here to see it.

Please include his wife, Diane, and daughter, Chelsea in your family's prayers.
